Old Apple Store Self Catering Cottage
The 'Old Apple Store' is a family run self catering cottage, renovated in 2019. We believe the original building was a store for the orchards at Coldcroft Farm, and later was used as a cow byre. The Old Apple Store provides a very comfortable May Hill holiday cottage.
The bed can be made into 2 singles, or joined into a super king sized double. There is plenty of storage for clothes in this well appointed bedroom.
The sitting room is open plan with the kitchen, but in it's own slightly separated area. It has two sofas and a TV and a freesat box. The kitchen has a good sized antique kitchen table suitable for 4 people. It is a well appointed kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer and plenty of storage.
The bathroom of course has a bath and an overhead shower also. All has been recently fitted in 2019.
There is a small enclosed garden, and also a good sized conservatory with a sofa and bookcase, so the garden can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
We aim to do all we can to ensure you have a really good time here on Coldcroft Farm. Please feel free to call Katie should you have any questions. We live at Coldcroft Farm ourselves, so are available should you have questions. Wee will try to meet you during your stay, whilst also at the same time leaving you to enjoy the cottage without interruption.
Bookings can be made directly through us, or via Sykes who we use as an agent.
Arrival / Departure
Arrival is after 4pm on the day of arrival, and for departures we will need you vacated by 10am, so that we have time to prepare for the new guests.
Due to livestock on the farm, no dogs are permitted at the cottage.
The cottage will be cleaned and ready for you with a spare bin liner, washing up liquid. We also provide bedding and towels.
If you would like to book extra housekeeping during your stay, please let us know and we can arrange this for you at a small additional charge.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the cottage but it should be noted it is slow and works on 4G.
Living in this peaceful rural setting, you will find mobile phone coverage can be poor.
Due the proximity of the cottage to the stables and the storage of hay and straw, no smoking is allowed on the property, including the garden and the picnic area.
Television / Radio / Games
A radio is provided in the kitchen. The television in the lounge is set up for use with FreeSat.
